My story of my getting my widsom teeth removed.....

*** Note to the reader.... I actually got my Wisdom teeth removed in March... I wrote this "story" for another blog.... and I wanted to share with you. Enjoy..

(First, before we start... please forgive my spelling. ) :)

Of my experience, YESTERDAY that I experienced getting my wisdom teeth out.

DUN DUN DUN

So..... BEFORE I start this..... PLEASE.... if YOU HAVE TO.... DO these things before you start reading my blog.

Go to the bathroom.
Go get a snack
Brush your teeth
Ehem, so as I was saying yesterday I go my wisdom teeth out. Lovely.

My appoiment was at 8:45, but as we all know, appoiments usually NEVER start on time. NEVER!!!!
I actually had to get exrays done first. Because when I went their for my consult, the developer machine thing was not working. Anyways..... so when I walked in do you want to know what I heard......

SCREAMING! CRYING! BOTH!!!!!!!! I was like, whhhaaaaat did I get myself into? SERIOUSLY! It was as bad, as if they were taking out her widsom teeth, but they forgot the give her the drugs!!! (I'm not sure what she was upset from, but.... still...!!!)
So, I got my exrays, and found out that I only had 3 widsom teeth, instead of the 4 that I though I had. BONUS!!!

Soooo..... once I had the exrays done, I had to go back to the waiting room. In that waiting room, their was two other ladies, myself, and my Dad. Akward. I know. Anyways, when they called me in, I gave my Dad a hug and a kiss, and said good-bye. Or wait... I think I said Holla... Nooo. wait I said good-bye.

So the nurse led me to this room, at the end of the hall, scarey eh? So I lied down in the dentist chair, and we were talking and laughing and then she stuck the thingy-ma-bob on my finger, and around my arm, for my blood presure. Which went off every 5 minutes. (Scared me to death the first time, because I was alone in the room, and I thought something was wrong) Do you ever notice that when you have one of those on your arm.... it squeezes you SOOOO hard, you think your arm is going to pop off? (Well, just wondering)

Okay, so where was I?

Oh yeah, so after the nurse, put the blodd presure things on me, she stuck the sticker things on my chest and belly... I have no idea what they were called, but they were attached to the machine that took my heart rate etc, just like the blood pressue thingys.( I had to lift my shirt up so she could put the thingys on my chest, because they went up in that area......, thank goodness I choose to wear a clean bra that morning.)

So, I don't think I mentioned this but my neighbour from where my Mom lives, also works their, so that was fine, she was in the room, with me for the whole operation. Which was nice. :)

So, I am waiting to get the IV in from the Dr, and another nurse walks in, she was nice and friendly, and very funny. She was awesome. I asked her if I say anything funky when I am coming around from the medicnce, to not tell me UNLESS IT WAS ABSOLUTLY FUNNY!!!...

BRB it is 8:25 AM I need to go and take more T'3's Okay, I'm back and it is now 8:30 we can commence now. :)

Back to what I was asking the nurse...... her reply to that was " What happens in oral surgery, stays in oral surgery." I liked her.
(Anyways, I do remember what I did say when I was coming out the anesthetic. But you will hear those in a minute or two!)

So, I'm talking with the nurse, and my neighbour nurse, and the Dr walks in. Does not say "Hi Dana" Or "How are you this morning?" NOTHING like that! NOTHING! He just goes right to the table, gets that elastic band thingy, puts it around my arm, and starts to put the IV in my hand. That was rude. Goodness Gracious!!! :) :)

Anyways, I guess I have "small vains" because he poked me twice in the top of my hand, which pinched. ALOT. And then closer to my wrist which did not pinch as bad. (Before the Dr came in, the nice nurse said it would take about 45 seconds for the anesthetic to kick it. I think it took shorter. LOL!!!!) (Oh, Don't worry, the nice nurse and my neighbour nurse, were both super nice, but I can't call them nice nurse, and night neighbour nurse... well maybe I can, but no.) :) Anyways, once the IV was in, the nice nurse and my neighbour nurse, said to think of lovely thoughts, nice places to dream. I said I'm going shopping. With my Grandma.....Then I was out.

Because I have to use the bathroom, at this point in my story, I am giving you permission, to go the bathroom, get a drink... etc... but hurry back. :)

Okay back, I actually got sidetracked and went on Facebook, but you know! :) hehe I just wanted to be honest with you all. :)
Okay, so when I woke up, I had those oxygen thingys in my nose. They felt weird...... so, these are the things that I remember saying or asking the nice nurse...

What time is it? ( I think I asked her that every 10 minutes, because Once I would ask her, I would doze off, and then wake back up, and ask her again, and it was like 10:00, or 10:10) (Those were not the times she told me, because I don't remember the times! Just wanted to clear things up! ):)
I asked her where was my Dad?
I asked can I have some Kraft Dinner?
I asked if I did okay.
You know what, I probably asked her, more... wait I know I asked her more, even though I don't remember, what those things were, she understood EVERYTHING THAT I SAID! I had gauze in my mouth, my mouth was still frozen from the freezing, and Oh my ! :) Seriously! CRAZY!

So, When I woke up, I was really really, dizzy.

So, when I was not as dizzy as I was when I worke, up.... we moved to the recovery room, but I was still dizzy. I had to put my arm around the nice nurse, because I almost walked into the wall.... twice....
After I got to the recovery room, I got to lie, down, and guess what?!?! I HAD A BLANKET! It was cozy.

Then they brought my Dad in. I remember asking him if he could go and get my ice-cream, and I asked about my Grandma and my Papa, and thier dog... (Just a side note about my Grandparents... it is their 51st Wedding Anniversary today! :) )

Anyways, once I was in the recovery room for maybe about 10 minutes, they brought in another girl, who I think was my age, and you know what? SHE GOT TO LEAVE BEFORE ME! I was like WHAT IS THIS? But I guess she came out the the anesthetic quicker than I. Her parents were nice. They asked about, me and said hope you feel better. I liked them too. :)

Anyways, the nurse who sticked the thingys on my chest came in, and asked how I felt... I said I felt sleepy, and a little dizzy. Then she asked if I wanted to sit, up. I said no. She said "okay lets sit up" I was like lady, I just said no. But I felt a little better when I sat up, I was dizzy, but it was good to sit up. She changed my gauze in my mouth, and went though the tings I can eat etc. Then I started on T3's.Then I got to stand up, becascause I got to go home.
My Dad brought the car around to the back, and the nurse who stuck things on me, guided me to the car. She even helped put my coat on. Oh, I almost walked into the wall again. :)

During the ride home, I called my Mom and my Grandparents.

Then when my Dad brought me home, I went to bed.

Wow... that was a long post......

So that was my story.

Thank you for reading... drive carefully... ;)
